The Hocking Hills Suite is a new full symphony music CD based on The Hocking Hills state park region of Ohio. Each piece was inspired by a location in the park including: Rose Lake, Highway 374, Cedar Falls, Clear Creek, Whispering Cave, Rock House and the Hocking Hills. CD’s and digital downloads are available in the store on this web site and at the Hocking Hills State Park store next to Old Man’s cave, in the Hocking Hills State Park.
Written and recorded by Ohio composer, Ken McCaw, the Hocking Hills Suite was inspired by a life-time of hiking and camping in the Hocking Hills State Park region of Southern Ohio. This recording is designed to accompany drives through the park and to also be used for promotional materials for the park and for other Ohio state attractions.
Mr. McCaw was the first graduate of the University of California film scoring program, and has written or produced music for Walt Disney Productions, The White House, Opryland, NASCAR and many others. He is also a developer of children’s and family stage shows and an inventor of several patented music and audio-related inventions, including the Hammer Jammer guitar accessory and ButtKicker-brand tactile audio gear . Currently McCaw resides in Westerville, Ohio, where is develops low frequency medical imaging systems for ultrasound and other medical imaging modalities.
